1st Doctor Appt after heart attack

I went in this morning to my GP for my first appointment after the heart attack. My BP was 114/78 and my pulse was 71; This is what they term an "ideal" reading.

I am still having body pains and aches and slight numbness in my left shoulder and left back, but these could be side-effects of some of my medications or part of my subconscious anxiety problems. Still, I was having similar pains before I went to the cardiologist last year. Depression and stress can effect your heart too and during the last 6 months I have had several severe bouts of depression. When I next see my cardiologist I am going to talk to him about all of these issues.

I dropped about 10 pounds since leaving the hospital 10 days ago. I've mostly cut out all caffeine. I am really cutting back on the smoking, trying to wean myself down enough to be able to stop. I am watching my eating, portion size, sodium intake, and fat/bad cholesterol. I am also walking more. I am... trying.

One day at a time, brothers and sisters. One day at a time.

Sadly, though, without Valerie Bertinelli in my life. ;p

A heart attack! Holy crap! Well that's some news. I really should start stopping in here (and making entries as well) more often. Truth is I'm just not that interesting. And I started keeping an offline journal.

But a heart attack. Jeebus, Mark!. A wakeup call. Glad you're making changes. Healthier choices. Not that easy to do sometimes.

As far as smoking goes, considered an eCig? I did this a few years back. Haven't looked back. I slip every once in a while, and smoke a real one, and then I pay for most of the next day. So they helped me. And I've cut nicotine way back as well. It will make it easier to give up, when I eventually do that.

Good luck. Safe trails, my friend.

I did look at e-cigs and vaps and in fact bought both. Then a new scientific study came out recently that said that these things are worse for you than regular cigarettes! Sheesh. So I tossed them.

Also, without nude pictorials in Playboy. Going to have to keep up your internet to access those nudies online, ;D
